A great cop romance with a sexy, bossy, needy alpha hero

I thought this was a great read. Yes, it's easy and, at times, predictable, but this romance is also very sexy, very charming, and a whole lot of fun to read. I was loving the hot cop hero: alpha, a bit Neanderthal with the possessive/ jealous urges, a player who's had his share and then some, but I really liked him despite that reputation. What makes Daniel special to me is that he was so into the heroine, right from first glance.
If you like the guy to be so caught up in the heroine, to be so focused on her and only her, you'll like Daniel. I really loved how Daniel fell first, how he was ready for something deeper and something more with the heroine, something beyond sex. He fell hard, and he was ready to prove to Story that he was done for. He was hooked, and there was never a question of that. I really enjoyed that about him, and it made me love him even more.
I loved the sex in this romance. So hot and arousing, everything Daniel said and did turned me on. He asks Story, "You want to be a naughty girl?", but he might as well have been talking to me. Daniel hit my naughty girl button. You know the one. The one where bad boy turns you inside out; the one where he's taking charge and being in control, talking dirty, biting your ear, ripping your panties off, because he's so needy and so focused on being with you. All of the scenes were erotic and had that urgency to them, but man, that super hot sex scene in his car? The dirty talk, the backseat, in a parking lot with people near, just HOT. I bookmarked that one.
Also, I was kind of surprised at how funny this story was in places, a little zinger here and there that made the dialogue sparkle with some fun and charm. And I loved the interaction between Daniel and Story. Even though the romance is quick, happening at a brisk pace, this interaction helped me connect to these characters, making me believe in them as a couple with a real chance at forever. That interaction and the dialogue stand out in this story for me. It made me smile and feel good about this couple.
Great cop romance with a needy, bossy alpha hero, lots of sexual chemistry to dive into, hot sex scenes, and some sweet and funny moments in the dialogue. Just a really sexy and fun read all around. Part of a series but can be read on its own.

A lot more hilarious than her previous books, but just as amazing and engrossing

Romance Readers of the world! Tessa Bailey has done it yet again! Can we all say THREEPEAT?! Seriously, this lady knows what she's doing! She pulled you in with Protecting What's His, teased your taste buds with His Risk to Take, and now, with Officer Off Limits, she has truly set the tone for any and all other romance novels out there. I specifically find myself measuring all Brazen books with hers, as Tessa's is basically the Gold Standard. With off-the-charts sexy ass guys, kickass female leads, and wickedly clever and intriguing plots, you really can't go wrong with a Tessa Bailey book.
Story is as clever, witty, and strong as they come, as with all of Tessa's female protagonists so far. Although I couldn't really get on board with her name, I still really liked her. She holds it together despite the fact that her fiance just dumped her and her father has basically been nonexistent in her life. I also enjoyed her inner monologues and those times when she'd talk to herself after the fact, which is surprising because I usually find inner monologues irritating, boring, and drawn out; which was so not the case here! She's also awkward at times, but in a cute and funny way that made me love her even more. I also loved the banter between Story and Daniel. It was funny and witty and steamy at times and it really drew me in and connected me to the characters as a couple with chemistry. Story went toe-to-toe with Daniel and I couldn't help but revel in it; it was that awesome.
Daniel. What can I say about him except, the guy sure doesn't hold anything back when he tries to get something, or rather, someone he wants. There was seriously one scene in the book involving karoake that had me ROFLMAO because it was too freaking hilarious. I even reread that scene a couple of times and still ended up laughing, it was so funny. There were plenty more hilarious scenes throughout the book, but that one took the prize. Besides that though, Daniel is definitely a sexy, swoonworthy guy. He sure knows how to turn you on and make you beg for it. I also really liked learning about Daniel's past, which was pretty traumatic. He's such a good guy and you can't help but feel for him after what he went through. I loved that he could be so caring and sensitive one minute, then damn right sexy and "gotta have you right now" the next minute.
What I got right off the bat was that this was a lot more humorous than her previous books, which was more than fine for me. I also felt like there wasn't as much action and danger as in her previous books, but it was still just as interesting and Tessa still brought her A Game when it came to creating an entertaining and intriguing plot. While I feel like Derek and Ginger are still my favorite couple of hers, Daniel and Story are awesome, too. Hell, Troy and Ruby are just as amazing. Ugh, I can't choose! They're all so great! And she's not even done! I seriously don't know where in Tessa's mind she pulls all these swoonworthy, super sexy males from, but I say, keep `em coming!

Entertaining, fun, sexy, & VERY GOOD !

I really liked Ms. Story Brooks. She was very snarky, sexy, and once she was done with the ex......it was over and the louse couldn't get her back and for that......I loved her more!
Daniel Chase for his part: quite the player. That is until he lays eyes on Story Brooks and from that moment on it's Daniel Chase(ing) Story Brooks! He was a gonner and took him awhile to figure out he was 'off the shelf'.
This is a book where the female did little to go after a man - in fact she was pretty much on the rebound.....knew it.....and wasn't looking for anything beyond a bit of nookie and rebound romance. Daniel had to work for it! LOL.
This is a great book. I loved it and will read it again.....it's not one I want to forget or file away. Thank you dear authoress.
