About the Author
Jane Whelen Banks was born and educated in Canada and now lives in Boston, Massachusetts with her family. She holds a masters degree in Health Studies and Advanced Practice Nursing, and is currently working with homeless mothers and children. She has three children of her own, Morgon, Jamie and Liam, all of whom present with their own set of joys and challenges. The This is Liam series was created for her youngest son, to help teach some of the social and verbal skills that so often eluded him.

Love Lovable Liam

Picked this up on a whim since my son's name is Liam. He loves the book and he is 11. He swears it was written about him as he can relate to all the pages. My other kids love it too even though it has their brother's name :) It is an adorable book about how to make good choices but when you make a mistake your family will always love you. Great message, cute book, would be great for any family.

Wonderful

I have previously bought "Liam goes poo in the toilet" and bought the kindle edition of this book for my 3 year old son. I think the author does a great job of simply explaining things to very small children. There is a lot in this book about sharing, being kind and polite (all things we're struggling with!) but I especially like its message that even if mummy is cross, she still loves you. I imagine I'll be buying all the other ones too!

I bought this book for my son, Liam, who is 6 years old and the 4th boy of the family. When he gave him the name Liam I didn't know anyone other than Liam Neeson with the same name, but now it appears to be quite popular! My son was thrilled to have a book that talked about a little boy with the same name as him, and he was very interested in seeing that there are other books in the Liam series. The pictures in the book are pretty simple stick figures with an occasional shading in with colored pencils, but they're whimsical and cute. It was a breath of fresh air to see that Liam in the book is not a perfect child, and is sometimes whiney or doesn't want to eat his vegetables. My son was able to see that while he is also not perfect and does whine (a lot) about certain things, that he's still special and an important part of the family. I am hoping that some of the good traits that Liam in the book has will rub off on my Liam. I highly recommend this book for anyone with a little boy with the name of Liam!!!
